Starting your own business can be scary. There are so many things to worry about! You need a plan, you need money, and you need to start building your brand. This post is all about how to build that personal brand as an entrepreneur. We will discuss three ways to help get started on the right foot with branding for your business: creating a name, using social media, and blogging regularly

1) Create a name

The first step of building your brand is coming up with the perfect business name. With so many choices out there, it can be overwhelming to start this process on your own. There are many options for naming your company, including brainstorming ideas by yourself or using an online tool like Wordoid or Name Mesh. Those tools will help you brainstorm and narrow down the best name for your company. Once you have a shortlist of possible names, make sure to research those options before finalizing one. Online tools like Yippie or Legal Zoom can be helpful when searching through trademark information or if you’re unsure about the potential legal repercussions of your name choice.

2) Utilizing social media

Social media is one of the most important tools in your business branding toolbox. There are so many options out there that it can be hard to decide which ones will work best for you and your company’s personality. To start, think about who your target audience is and what type of posts they would enjoy seeing on your page. Some of the most popular social media platforms that can be great for branding include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Each platform has its unique characteristics so do some research to determine which one would work best with your business’s personality.

3) Regular blogging

Blogging is another way to build your brand. A blog post can be great for increasing visibility, establishing yourself as an expert in the industry, and generating traffic back to other content on your site (including sales pages). There are plenty of options out there for building a blog, including WordPress and Blogger, to name a few.

Start by writing about relevant topics in your industry to help establish yourself as an expert, and then keep track of any traffic coming from those posts with Google Analytics. This way, you can see which specific blog posts are getting the most attention so that you know what types of content to focus on for future posts. You can also look into advertising opportunities to increase your blog traffic.
